Fashion NewsHow to Watch The 2017 Met Gala Red CarpetBy Glamour
The Met Gala is days away, which means the world's most famous fashion designers and their celebrity "dates" are getting ready to walk the red carpet on the first Monday in May. They're doing their final dress (or tux!) fittings, deciding on hair and makeup, and making all other necessary preparations for fashion's most major event of the year (really, its only rival is the Oscars; and even that's up for debate). On Monday, May 1, actors, pop stars, sports pros, models, and more will climb the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City to join this year's hosts—Vogue Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour, Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams, and honorary chair and subject of the 2017 Gala's theme, Rei Kawakubo (the creative force behind avant-garde fashion house Comme de Garçons) at the event, which benefits the museum's Costume Institute.
How to watch the arrivals and see all the incredible fashion in real time? There's only one official way: on Monday, May 1, Vogue will be streaming the Met red carpet on its Facebook Live starting at 7 p.m. EDT. It will, as the magazine's website says, be "shot in 360 degrees for a whole new viewing experience." Happy viewing!
